Mueller Houses (Robert, Adolph & Irving)

Decatur, IllinoisCompleted 1910

About This Building

Three Prairie houses for the Mueller family — a remarkable concentration in one city.

Decatur, Illinois contains a remarkable concentration of Wright houses — three homes designed for the Mueller family (Robert, Adolph, and Irving) as well as the Irving Residence. The Mueller brothers were prominent Decatur businessmen, and their patronage of Wright resulted in a cluster of Prairie houses that make Decatur an underappreciated destination for FLW enthusiasts. All are private residences.
