About This Building

One of Wright's last completed houses — a 1959 Usonian in St. Joseph on Lake Michigan.

The Ina Morris Harper House (1959) at 207 Sunnybank in St. Joseph, Michigan is one of the last houses Frank Lloyd Wright completed before his death in April 1959. It is a late Usonian — single-story, natural materials, in-floor radiant heating — in the lakeside town of St. Joseph on the eastern shore of Lake Michigan. Rick McNees photographed the house for the Wright-Site archive, documenting this rarely visited late work.
